Is it Possible to Relieve Stress and Personal Problems With Yoga?


In the hectic pace of life, we often deal with many kinds of stress like a noise, crowd, a bad relationships, meeting, and project deadlines. These stresses can generate headaches, heart palpitations, gloominess, frustration, and it could be worse if it affects our sleeping habits. Most of the people don’t know that these stress can hinder with the metabolic activities of our body, which could lead to diseases like diabetes, blood pressure problem and much more.

Yoga contains elements that address problems at every level; asanas yoga is a type of practice, in yoga that helps in relaxing and toning a muscle and massages your internal organ, pranayama is another form of yoga that controls breathing and regulates prana (According to yoga experts, prana is responsible for the heart beating and breathing. Prana enters the body through the breath and is sent to every cell through the circulatory system), relaxation and meditation that helps to calm your mind and emotion culturing to heal your spirit.

The different types of yoga practice augment each other and are more effective when done together. When you do the asanas and stretch your muscles, muscular tension is released and you are more able to relax. Likewise, when you relax the mind and release suppressed emotions you tend to become less tense on a physical level. Regular practice of yoga can restore your natural balance and positive good health to all parts of your life.

Stress and Time Management


Are you stressed out because you cannot get the most important things done? Is your time managmenet leading to a lot of stress emotionally, physically and mentally? Don’t worry, I know exactly how you feel.

You see, time management and stress management are very intertwined. Anytime you experience procrastination and cannot get the most important task done – the act of not getting that task done creates stress.

And, that’s exactly why you need to look at your current itme management habits and examine them if you are experiencing some stress.

Here’s a good time management tip that can help you with your stress

1. When you get things done, it makes you feel good.

When we say we’re going to do something, we are essentially creating a commitment and when we don’t follow through on that commitment, it creates stress. You see, we generally don’t like people who don’t follow through on their commitments and when we do the same, we tend to not like ourselves. We tend to be ashamed and fee bad about not doing what we promised to do.

Here’s two ways to deal with this stress:

1. Get things done so you can feel good.

2. Check your commitments and realize that it’s OK to not do some of the things that you thought were important some time ago.

Both of these are important strategies to reduce stress and manage your time well. You need to get the important things done well to get it off your mind and give it some relaxing time. This act also ensures you follow through on your commitment which will make you feel good. And, stress cannot exist when you’re feeling good.

Sometimes we create commitments even when we have no intentions of following through. And, sometimes new information arise that make the commitment obsolete. We need to examine these commitments and look at exactly what we are putting off. If we are putting off something that doesn’t need to be done in the first place, there’s no need to worry about it.

Accept it and it will reduce your stress as well.
