Setting Your Priority to Get the Best on Daily Basis

Time is one of the most precious gifts that providence has bestowed on each and every one of us. We all have the same quantity of it. Actually, time is the only equal thing between the rich and the poor. The way we use our time is what determines the output that we get at the end of the day. You have to be careful therefore about the way you “spend” your time. On second thought, do not spend your time; invest your time in something worthwhile. You have to be conscious about the way you use your time. There are things you must imbibe into your daily activities and there are things that you must cut out.

One of those things that you must do every day of your life to manage your time well is to always prioritize your activities. By prioritizing, you are able to write down what you expect to be done in the order that they are supposed to be achieved. Make a comprehensive list of what you want to do. Do not just wake up in the morning and start doing what catches your attention. You must be conscious of everything that you do and the possible results that would come from those actions. For effectiveness, try to write down your priority for the next morning before you go to bed. This will enable you to have a good start the following morning since you would have known the first thing on your list of to-do.

At the end of each activity, always mark the activity as done. This would enable you to know what you have achieved so far. At the close of every day, try to sit down and review your priority list and see how far you have gone. Do what you have on your list and postpone all the unnecessary activities that may hinder you. Now don’t forget to include relaxation time into your daily schedule. You would not want to overwork yourself, I believe. Make time to enjoy your day but do not overdo it. Your time is so precious that wasting it would be unfair to yourself. Remember that you can never regain a lost time.

Simple Way to Save Money

Almost everybody looks for ways to save their hard earned money, but most of them fail in this mission.

Our parents and grandparents may be great teachers in this subject, but sometimes we simply ignore their advices.

A great advice to save money is one of the simplest things we could do: making lists. It doesn’t matter if you are shopping for groceries, on a shopping mall or buying a car, a list will always help you save money.

With a list you will only look for what you are really willing to buy prior leaving home, and you will look just for the characteristics of the products that you wrote on your list. From now on, try making a list, and watch your money grow more and more everyday.

The “Will Not Do” List

Many people keep a “To Do” list to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness and I recommend you use this kind of list. I also have another suggestion that may sound odd but will also help your life in many ways: create a “Will Not Do” list.

The purpose of the “Will Not Do” list is to help you stop any habit that you may already needed in the past and no longer need. Here are some points you should consider when creating your “Will Not Do” list:

- If you check your email several times, limit it to four times per day.
- If you receive any kind of newsletter, magazine or journal and you don’t need them, cancel. If they are sent to you online you will save time, and if they are printed you will save time too, but will also help the environment.
- If you look for perfection, “settle” to meet requirements.
- If you are impulsive and tend to make a mistake after having previously made one, slow down, reflect and correct.
- If there are many things you must do, learn to delegate.
- If you usually agree to everything, learn to say no.

Having a “Will Not Do” list will help you to save free time to spend as you wish and you’ll be able to reach your goals faster than you would without the list.
