Work Life Balance for Women

Work Life Balance for Women

If you are the kind of woman who likes to have an amazing job and an incredible relationship at the same time and you realize how important work and life management are for you, here’s some tips to make work/life balance easier for you.

When you look at most people, if they have a successful business you might find that their relationships are falling apart. And that is because once you start focusing on one aspect of your life, the other starts to crumble. Well, the good news is you can bring them all together so let’s get started.

1. Give time to yourself. This is the absolutely most important thing you need to do. If you do not give time for yourself and if you do not invest time in yourself and yourself grow, guess what, you will not be able to spend time for others. It is so important for you to take care of your physical, mental and emotional health as a woman. It is incredibly important for you to take care of your stress levels and your goals. If you do not invest time on yourself, your stress level will certainly go up, and you will not be able to give quality time back to others. It all has to start within. It has to start from you.

2. Delegate Tasks. What I see a lot of women doing is they try to be a super woman, and they try to do everything by themselves. Give yourself some rest. Give yourself a break. Allow other people to do tasks that they can do. For example, divide up and allocate chores. Your kids can help you with chores and you can make it enjoyable for them. Do not to try do everything by yourself. It’s okay to sit down and ask for help and get help from others. It’s actually a lot of fun to divide work and to do it together.

3. Schedule time with your family. You need to find out a time that works for everybody and spend some really quality time with them, and let them know why you’re doing it. Let them know that you like to have a really wonderful relationship with them and that is why you are scheduling this time. It is very important for them to know what you’re trying to do. If you relationships have been falling apart lately, tell them you want to be bring them back up and you will be surprised by how much support you will get from them. Keep them on the same page. Keep them informed.

Work-Life balance is an amazing thing to accomplish, but the truth it’s almost impossible to do if you do not change your time management habits. The very first step to achieving greater work/life balance is to look at a time management and to become really good at it.

You need to learn time management because essentially everything we have talked about so far comes back to the thing called time, and it becomes a bottleneck. If you do not learn how to work with your time, you’re not going to be able to achieve any of the things that we talked about. The first thing you need to do for time management is stop wasting your time. If you find yourself procrastinating or wasting time, cut that down and get work done so you can spend more time doing what’s most valuable to you.

Manage Time Along With Your Work

Manage Time Along With Your Work

Remind yourself about the last time you worked late in your office because the task or work assigned to you is close to the deadline but still far from the completion. Are you doing things unconsciously to complete the assignment and asking one of these questions?

“Do I really need to manage my time effectively?” or “Have I not been managing my time effectively all these days?”

You have followed all the steps told in “The Time Management Program” but still you failed to achieve the goal.

There are no programs to manage the time effectively but there are few tips and tricks by which you can make use of your time correctly. All you have to do is to change the way you work.

Prioritize the work.

The first step is to prepare the list of things to do:

First understand the sensitivity and importance of the project and arrange them in three categories.

  1. Urgent work- The work which needs to be done right away.
  2. Less Urgent- The work which has the deadline of a week or so.
  3. Daily work- The work which can be done at any time.

To understand the ” to do-list” in a glance, color code the index, Red color for urgent assignments, Orange color for the work that is less important and has a deadline in a week or so and Blue color for the daily assignments and can be done at any time.

Second step: Understand the project

Before you start working on project or assignment, understand its requirements, and if it needs some research then do it. Calculate the time you need for the completion of the project. Now that you know how much time the work will need to get completed, mark it on your list with the date of submission.

Third Step: Reviewing

After completion of the project give yourself few hours or a day to review your work. Reviewing project is important part of prioritizing because it will help you to improve the quality of your work.

  • Say NO to all those things which is not a cup of your tea.
  • Make a plan and think how you are going to complete your new project.

So, In general you don’t have to follow the time management program or there is no need to attend the seminars for the time management. All you have to do is to work as you were doing but in the right way and surely the result will be fruitful.

Time Really Flies?

Time Really Flies?

Need to be more organized about the time management-treat time as a precious possession-time is a treasure-handle it carefully and reap benefits-idleness the main enemy of time.

One often hears complaints from people about the lack of time. Time has often played the role of a villain and blamed from unachieved goals to a bad relationship, and even on too much stress. It is not surprisingly; therefore, that time has always been painted black by everyone from a school boy to the person at an officer level.

Phrases like “how time flies”, “time and tide waits for no one”, “it was a cruel hour”, etc. would not have come into the English vocabulary had mankind made correct use of it. Time is never destructive if it is rightly made use of. Time never flies. It is we who make it fly by wasting every minute of it. Although we have experience many times that the more organized we are in our time management the more leisure, we are likely to have. Such a conclusion implies that the fault lies with us not with the time.

Time is not the monopoly of one person. It is a possession of all those people who know the value of time and know how to spend it. Those who spend it well reap the benefits, while others who rarely care will spend their lifetimes decrying the lack of time.

Time is valuable. It is that treasure which is handled carefully leads a person to name, fame and glory. The most obvious sign of a successful person is his punctuality in discharging his duties. He is aware of the eternal truth that money is wasted can be recovered, health once lost can be regained but every second that is wasted is wasted forever. As he desires to accomplish a great deal in his short life span, he makes the best use of every second that is at his disposal.

Every human on this planet has got 24 hours a day, and those who take good use of it gets a glory and those who fails cry’s for it every time. So, stop complaining and make use of every second of your life and reap the benefits.

Time Management is a Myth!

Time Management is a Myth!

The concept of management implies on controlling the movement, behavior or direction of something. There are countless articles teaching people how to manage their time, but if the readers doesn’t understand that it is simply impossible to control this force called time, almost all of them will fail.

No matter how organized we are, there are always only 24 hours in a day. Time doesn’t change. All we can actually manage is ourselves and what we do with the time that we have.

Still unconvinced and think you can really manage time? So tell me how to dispute the cliche phrase “you can make more money but you can’t make more time”.

Accept this truth: we cannot manage time, but we can manage ourselves in relation to time thereby creating power. Once you accept this, your time will be invested (or spent) in a better way.

The “Will Not Do” List

The “Will Not Do” List

Many people keep a “To Do” list to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness and I recommend you use this kind of list. I also have another suggestion that may sound odd but will also help your life in many ways: create a “Will Not Do” list.

The purpose of the “Will Not Do” list is to help you stop any habit that you may already needed in the past and no longer need. Here are some points you should consider when creating your “Will Not Do” list:

- If you check your email several times, limit it to four times per day.
- If you receive any kind of newsletter, magazine or journal and you don’t need them, cancel. If they are sent to you online you will save time, and if they are printed you will save time too, but will also help the environment.
- If you look for perfection, “settle” to meet requirements.
- If you are impulsive and tend to make a mistake after having previously made one, slow down, reflect and correct.
- If there are many things you must do, learn to delegate.
- If you usually agree to everything, learn to say no.

Having a “Will Not Do” list will help you to save free time to spend as you wish and you’ll be able to reach your goals faster than you would without the list.
