According to the Department of Sanitation of the city of New York, the trash production more than doubled between 1960 and 1990, and currently it is about 4.5 pounds per person per day.
Reducing the amounts of trash we produce we could help our environment and also save money, not only directly but also paying less taxes to the government.
To avoid creating trash is easy. A quick example of how to do it is by thinking twice if you really need something before buying it, as the more you buy, the more trash you create.
Other simple and easy tasks also help saving our environment from trash, such as not buying overpackaged things. Here, again you will save money, as the manufacturer would have saved money producing a smaller pack containing more products.
And think about how do you shop for grocery: do you still use those disposable plastic poly bags, or do you already have your own reusable, eco-friendly bag?
As you can notice, you are very responsible for the amount of trash you generate. Do whatever you can to produce less trash and save money while you help the environment.

There are many other methods to produce energy but the cheapest method of producing electric energy is a magnetic generator. The motion is generated through magnetic force. Free of cost electrical energy is produced as a magnetic generator works independently and perfectly. This continuously working machine will produce much power than it requires for working. Magnetic generator works in a same way as other generators work. A magnetic generator works independently producing free energy continuously and there is no other machine or power source that is required to run it properly. Many magnetic generator companies are giving very tough time to electricity supplying companies.
You do not need external electric source if you have a magnetic generator with you. A lot of money can be saved if you have your own magnetic generator to produce your own electric energy. Magnetic power generator does not require any other source of energy like solar or wind that works on itself. There is so much power that is produced by it and is enough to run any kind of equipment. Magnetic power generator is safe to use as it is made to perform its functions even at your home. The output of the generator is also much efficient and perfect. There are no side effects of generators like hazardous gases, hazardous chemicals or radiation type of dangers.
Magnetic generator has many advantages like it does not take much space in your home. Magnetic generator works on its own so it does not need external energy like solar energy, wind energy or light energy. Construction is also not expensive and the performance is also much better than others. It reduces your electricity bills and increases your savings. In short, it is safe for all the members of your family including small children.
If you want to make your generator, you do not need to spend a lot of money. Just a proper guidance is required to achieve your target. Click here to access top notch material that tells how to build your own generator, including the components information.

With the high gas price everybody wants to save money and increase fuel economy. Some may even try some “extraordinary” products shown on TV ads, but most of them do not work as promised.
Luckily, the way you drive absolutely affects how much gas your car uses. Check out four easy tips to help you save money on gasoline by just changing your driving habits.
1. Stick to the speed limit. This is harder to do than it sounds, of course, but consider that the difference in consumption between driving 55 and 65 miles per hour is about 2 miles per gallon.
2. Accelerate gradually. Sudden starts and stops over-exert your engine, and gradual acceleration is better for automatic transmissions, anyway.
3. Keep your foot on the floor. Your left foot, that is. Resting it on the brake during normal driving, even slightly, adds to drag.
4. Use air conditioning wisely in hot weather. On a long trip, keeping the windows up and the air conditioning on is more efficient than not, because it reduces that evil drag, but once the car is chilled, reduce power to the air conditioner. In stop-and-go situations, however, open the windows and use outside air as much as possible.

In these times, it makes sense to make money by saving money. One solid way to do that is to muster up your own brown bag lunch ideas. For those on a weight loss program, brown bagging it can also provide more control over calories, salt content, sugar, and white flour. Not to mention displacing the high cost of pre-packaged diet foods like protein shakes, meal bars, and microwaveable entrees.
Most fast food establishments do offer some diet choices, but these, too, are as expensive as any other meal there. If you spend the average $7.50 for a basic lunch (twice that in some cities) and you do it five days a week, 50 weeks of the year (here it comes…) that’s $1,840.00. That’s a lot of dough just to be chic with the office crowd. Here are some healthy and delicious brown bag lunch ideas that won’t empty your wallet or pad your hips.
1. Plan and prepare the core elements of your lunch the night before. Traditionally, a sack lunch includes a sandwich, a piece of fruit, something crunchy, and something sweet. Not rocket science, but worthy of careful consideration of each component if you’re calculating both cost and calories.
2. Add a healthy afternoon snack while you’re at it. Why give your $1.25 to the snack machine and get poor calories back in the bargain?
3. Select a drink. Although mostly relegated to the kiddie crowd, juice boxes and fruity pouch drinks do fit the bill. They tolerate being unrefrigerated and travel well. To lower cost and calories the most, however, consider taking a tea kit to the office.
4. When lunchtime comes, don’t eat at your desk if you don’t need to. Make the time your own by changing the scenery along with your posture. Sit outside with a friend. Listen to music in your car. Share your sweet with a brown bag confederate.
5. Take all the money you saved with these brown bag lunch ideas and go buy a new wardrobe. You may need one after cutting a year’s worth of lunch-fat from your waist!

If you are thinking of buying a car the first really important question is ‘what sort of a car should I be looking for?’ Some of the questions that need to asked before you rush off are about affordability, lifestyle and where your life is heading. Answer these and the choice of a car will be made much easier.
What type of car should I buy is a pretty common question and a good one to ask before you actually do buy a car. It’s amazing how many people don’t ask themselves this question and end up spending way too much money on cars that are simply impractical for their life.
The first thing to consider is how much money you can afford to spend on a new car. You need to work out out how you can afford to spend each month for the next three to five years in repayments. As well as working out how much you will need for a down payment. Once you do that, you’ll be able to figure out how expensive a car you can buy.
After you have worked out how much you can afford you need to look at your lifestyle. Think of how much you will have to pay for fuel if you have a long commute. Maybe a smaller car with good fuel economy might be better than a big, gas guzzler. Conversely, if you have a lot of kids, dogs etc., a small car might make life difficult for you!
Another factor in lifestyle, is where do you live? Does the sun shine all day, every day, or does it pour with rain, hail and snow? You need to choose the right car for your climate.
The last thing you need to consider when answering the ‘what type of car should I buy’ question is, where is your life heading? If you think ahead a bit about your job will you be staying or moving on somewhere else), time of life (thinking of starting a family or retiring) it will give you some insight into the type of car that you might need. After all it would be no good if you get a two seater and then need room for a baby.
By answering the questions on affordability, lifestyle and where your life is heading, you will be able to make a good decision about the type of car that you should buy.
