How to Get Over the End of a Relationship

How to Get Over the End of a Relationship

One of the most difficult things in existence can be when a relationship comes to a grinding halt. Occasionally, when this happens, it can be a joint decision which has been amicably reached by both partners. This can still be a bit difficult, but at least both parties felt it was time to move on, so they can part friends.

If only all relationships could end like this, it would be so much easier on everyone. Sadly, however, when a relationship ends, it is most likely one person wanted out while the other one wanted anything BUT an ending. This is the person who needs advice on how to get over the end of a relationship.

The first step in recovering from a broken relationship is to grieve. Grief is always the first step in moving past any significant loss. After all, the ending of a relationship is also a death, of sorts. Even if it was what needed to happen, there is still profound sadness that things will never be the same again. The grieving period should be long enough to be rid of the sadness, but it should not be allowed to last forever. Let yourself cry, scream, throw things, or whatever else makes you feel a bit better. Get it out of your system so you can move on.

At some point during the grieving process will come the acceptance that things are not going to change, and that the relationship is truly at an end. This is a positive turning point because, now, the real healing process can begin. Don’t force yourself to move any faster than you feel is good or possible for you. However, also, don’t allow yourself to simply wallow in your grief. You MUST try to move forward in your life if that is ever going to happen. Take baby steps and ease yourself back into the real world.

Before you realize it, you will experience a full hour of not thinking about your ex. That will eventually turn into a full day, then a week. Eventually, the ache and the pain will dull. One day, you will just wake up feeling happy the way you used to.

Allow your friends and family to help you through this very difficult time, but only to the extent that you are ready. Granted, in the beginning you will most likely want a lot of time alone. But don’t let that become too much of a habit. Gradually, let them spend time with you, take you out, or help you get rid of painful reminders of your past relationship. Your friends will be your lifeline when it comes to re-entering the world.  Before you turn them away, remember that they care about you and want to help make things easier for you, if they can. So, let them.

When a relationship first ends, it may feel as if life, itself, has ended as well. You may not see it at first, but there is always a light shining at the end of the tunnel. Just be patient enough to reach it.

The Importance of Effectively Managing Stress

The Importance of Effectively Managing Stress

Stress is an everyday part of life that must be dealt with each and every person in the world however each person deals with this experience in different ways. What may cause serious problems for one person may only slightly affect someone else.

Many people don’t realize the toll stress takes on our bodies and our health especially when this stress is not dealt with in an efficient manner. There are many ways of coping with stress and what works for one person may be completely ineffective for another individual facing the same basic problem. The key is to find stress management techniques that prove effective for that particular person.

Some people handle stress by isolating themselves from whatever is causing the problem at that specific moment for a certain amount of time. One example of this is going into another room for a brief period of time until the feeling of stress is relieved. For other people this process is a little more complicated and requires more advanced techniques.

Relieving stress is one of the necessary things in life that every one of us must learn at some point in order to remain healthy. When stress is not dealt with it can lead to serious problems like high blood pressure and heart attack among many other things.

While some individuals are able to reduce or relieve stress in fairly non active ways there are others that require a more active approach to this issue. Some of the most common ways that people manage their stress include slow breathing techniques, physical exercises like running or jogging and mind relaxation techniques.

Mind relaxation techniques include any mental activity that calms the mind and allows the reduction of stress. Many people that use this technique often retreat to a quiet place and think of things that are calming and serene such as a quiet pasture of wild flowers or feeling the sand between your toes on the beach. Unfortunately some people allow stress to build for so long that an activity as passive as this is often not an effective release of stress. People in these situations often need a more active outlet for letting go of stress and often resort to physical exercise such as running or jogging. How long they continue this particular activity may depend on a variety of factors including how long they have been stressed out or how excessive the amount of stress has been allowed to become.

Regardless of how a person chooses to handle stress one thing is certain; effective stress management is essential to maintain good health. When stress is left to continue building eventually a person is going to reach the breaking point and explode over something that is basically trivial and could be dealt with in a much calmer manner had their stress level not been allowed to accumulate to that point.

When you feel yourself reaching high levels of stress take a few moments to yourself to get the situation under control using whatever works for you and will notice your health will be much better and your mentality will be much clearer.

Three Steps to Develop a Positive Personality

Three Steps to Develop a Positive Personality

If a person’s goal is to improve his personality, a big part of his efforts should be dedicated to developing a positive outlook. Thoughts, feelings, and behavior shape our personality and define how others see us. When we are constantly thinking negative thoughts, these would manifest in the way we carry ourselves. You see, when a person thinks negatively all the time, such negativity will be very apparent in the way he handles things and this does not help him at all in terms of improving his personality.

How can a person be “positive”? Here are three ways to do this.

  1. Make a paradigm shift. A person who wants to make a big change must take a big leap. If you have been so used to your ordinary thinking patterns, you need to change it and make a fundamental change in your way of thinking, otherwise attaining a positive personality will just not be effective. Change your paradigm; take that step to changing the way you see people, things, and events in a more positive way and you will find that your personality will also change dramatically.
  2. Surround yourself with the right people. The company you are with plays a big role in shaping your personality. You are who your friends are, or so the adage goes. Make sure you are with the right company- people who are happy, successful, and positive- their influence on you will be to your benefit. On the other hand, if you are always with people who complain, procrastinate, and who can never seem to make anything good out of themselves, then ultimately, you will become like them, too.
  3. Make positive affirmations. Self-affirmation was a theory proposed by Claude Steele in 1988; it is designed to enable people to protect their image of themselves, a method to motivate and combat anything that aims to destroy our image. Self-affirmations are applicable to many situations however it is commonly used to help us pull through a break up, manage difficult relationships, and handle work-related stress. It is in these situations that we need to continuously encourage ourselves of our own self-worth- an invaluable tool to shield us from hurt and discouragement in the wake of emotional problems.

Having a positive personality can certainly help us in many ways. It helps to improve relationships, gain more friends, and will also contribute to getting more recognition in the workplace. A person with a positive outlook in life has better chances at success than those who are always complaining and nagging- who wants to work with these kinds of people, anyway?

If you want to improve your personality, start with being positive. This is not an easy feat especially if you have been so used to entertaining negative thoughts and being around negative people all the time. But if you can change your personality and become a positive person, you will see the difference that this will bring to you. Again, it is not easy but in the end, it will be worth it.

How to Obtain Your Maximum Potential

How to Obtain Your Maximum Potential

It is stated we use less than 10% of the power of our brains during everyday life. Even the most gifted amongst us rarely use more than this. Imagine what our lives and our world would be like if we were able to boost our mental capacity by just a few %. It is often claimed that as a species we use a lot less than 10% of our brain power, Perhaps we are only a fraction of the species we will develop into one day, and it is hard to imagine that if we only use 10% of our potential brain power now what we’d be like and capable of if we used just 20-30% even.

The brain is a vast network of neuro pathways in which 1000s of messages are sent every second. Because of it’s complex structure no two people are alike, and throughout our lives our minds grow and evolve, pick up patterns of thinking which become normal to us, and possibly help us to do a wide range of tasks on auto-pilot. Our mind is a colossal physical structure of neuro-pathways which are used continually to send 1000s of messages to all areas of our bodies. As we progress through life it stores many of the tasks we do every day so we can carry them out almost effortlessly. In the same way we also store our self beliefs and perceptions.

In many ways our brains are so resourceful, and as we grow and develop all of us progress in numerous ways. We are all different, and perhaps some of us receive positive reinforcement in school and go on to do well academically. Many people experience constructive feedback because of their sporting performance and thus go on to excel – en route developing the right mindset and patterns of thinking needed for athletic success.

Others may unfortunately receive negative feedback – being told they are no good at math or English, or that they will never flourish in a particular area. Just as our brains store positive feedback and reactions and shape our lives, they do the same with negative feedback too. Our minds store this feedback and our behaviour changes and we do not live up to our real potential. This is mainly a mechanism of our mind to protect us – we all experience being rejected, or criticism so our brains put measures in place to make certain we don’t encounter it again.

These self beliefs and patterns of thinking just become part of our personality, of who we are, essentially they stop us from achieving our full potential. However, they aren’t impossible to interrupt, and to improve.

An Easy Way to Alter Your Self Perception?

This is where subliminal messaging comes in useful. Subliminals target your restricting beliefs, and gradually break them down, and substitute them for positive ones. As they quite simply target your subconscious mind directly they make changes to your self beliefs and awareness and help you to focus on your goals and really believe in yourself – , and even when you are not consciously aware of the messages they slowly build to shape your mind in a favourable way.

Imagine if you were free from negative beliefs, if you had full self esteem inside and out, just imagine how much more you would get out of life.

All this and much more is realistic – you can use subliminal audio to rewire your brain and shape your life in many different ways, and if you are new to this then why don’t you start today free of charge:
